    The Skyhawks went on the road to take on Div. 1 foe Malcolm X for their first matchup of the year and came away with a solid 88-78 victory over the Hawks.  The Skyhawks led by 6 at the half (40-34), before losing the lead early in the second half, then taking the lead back and controlling the action to increase the lead to 20 pts. before controlling the clock for the 10 pt. victory over the Hawks.  The Skyhawks put 5 players in double figures led by Devares Whitaker with 20 pts..  Also in double figures were Atem Agot and Aarhek Lamb with 14 pts. each,  while Riek Riek and Jake Gaither each had 10 in the winning effort.  The Skyhawks are on the road next week for three games; Tuesday at conference rival Carl Sandburg, Thursday at conference and Div 1 rival Highland, and Saturday at defending Region IV champion  Triton for a 3:00 tipoff.  Go Skyhawks
